Charlie's Restaurant

New to the location, and decided to stop in and have lunch. Food is delicious, I got the fried founder and clam strips, the batter was crispy and seasoned perfectly. Our waitress was awesome, she was the only one, servicing multiple tables..but still took the time to stop, welcome us and have a nice conversation. Prices are affordable, definitely will be returning.

Excellent service. 👏 Hot & fresh hushpuppies are served right after you receive your drinks to snack on while your orders are being prepared. 😋 My daughter had the grilled cheese with corn pops. I had the Charlie's cheese burger, super well done, w/lettuce, tomato & mayo/mustard. Scrumptious! Thank you, chef, for going against everything you believe in to make this customer extremely happy. (I crave charred beef) I chose slaw and potato salad for my side dishes. My husband had their catfish sandwich with cheese & tarter sauce and onion rings for his side order. We had a wonderful lunch together thanks to everyone at this fine restaurant.

Great little diner. Nothing fancy. We got the fried chicken based on other reviews and it was excellent. Also tried the Charlie Burger. Excellent too! Only complaints are the that the mashed potatoes were powdered and the iced tea was weak. So don't order those 2 things. But the prices were very reasonable, the food tasty, the portions large, and the staff attentive so I'd say it's a good deal. We plan to visit again.

Very inconsistent. Food is hit or miss never the same. I eat there occasionally because of that.

Service and atmosphere was just ok. The food was terrible. I ordered the shrimp and scallops. The shrimp we overcooked and the scallops were fake. Probably punched out shark or skate meat. I know this because scallops come in different thickness and size. When they are all the same thickness and perfectly round they are anything but scallops. My wife had the beef liver. It was like shoe leather. The whole meal was almost 60 dollars. What a waste of time and money. Never eating there again.
