Matthews Diner

We came in for the turkey dinner and it was delicious. We had leftovers and asked for more gravy to take home and they gave us a huge container full of it. The only thing I didn’t enjoy was the broccoli - it was a little mushy. We ended up going back the next morning for breakfast. There was a 10 + 20 minute wait both visits (Saturday night and Sunday morning) but it’s to be expected at a Jersey diner, especially a good one 😉

I'm not from the area. Came to find good food, service and atmosphere and I got all 3. There is free parking, wheelchair friendly accessible entryway and front door greetings from staff ( JUst to let you know, there is a double door entry), the diner is open, clean and a harmonious atmosphere. The servers are kind and friendly and welcoming. And the food Fantastic 😍 I cleaned my plates. It's very clear to me that the whole staff ( from the owner, manager to the rest of the staff work hard to make things run seamlessly. I'm a very happy camper.

Great experience from start to finish! The staff welcomed us with warm smiles and made us feel comfortable right away. Service was quick and attentive. We ordered the Philly Cheese Steak and the Asian Chicken Salad—both were fresh, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. Definitely a spot we’d love to come back to!

Amongst the many diners in North Jersey, Matthew is one of the better ones. Plenty of options and sizable portions. As with all diners, definitely look at the dessert case.

🥹💛 such a cute place! I love the interior design. Our waiter was fantastic! Food was great! Sorry for breaking a glass 😅 I was just putting my cup down and didn’t see the second cup. But, the employees were super chill about it. Definitely coming back to try other things on the menu. Also got a little sweet treat at the end.
