Matiki Island BBQ

The person who took our order was nice and he’s the one who got the stars. The food had no taste. Rice =no taste Short ribs =no taste Macaroni = what was even that Chicken = had a lot of fatty meat The rib was soooo tough and I was wrestling with it. I ate 2 pieces and i was done. The spam sush OG was also awful. All that was not worth $48. Word of advice, TikTok hyped this up.

Surprise find on this trip. Absolutely delicious food. Our table had 2 each of the ribs and the teriyaki chicken. Ribs were a fall off the bone rib. Chicken was very tender and juicy. Portions are massive. I mean like diabolically massive. Service is a counter order style. Our order taker had such a cute personality. Loved that. It’s a little run down in appearance on the inside but don’t let that discourage you from eating here.

I really do love this place and the food but something seems off. Lately it has been really inconsistent. The steak is either seasoned and flavored or it's not. The wait times can be crazy if they have a ton of delivery orders. And then I had an experience now where im looking at my steak and chicken plate and it's literally just chicken. If they were out fo steak they didnt say anything. I tried calling but couldn't get through and kept getting the "voice mail box not set up" message. I made it all the way home and refuse to drive all the way back. But to clarify my ticket attached to the bag shows chicken and steak so not sure what happened. People working there are great but the food is just too up and down for me.

I’ve eaten here at this location several times and normally it is good. Today was horrible and I will not be returning. As normal they were out of beef ribs so I got steak and chicken to give it a try. The steak and chicken was cold in the middle and bottom I’m positive both were leftover from previous days and reheated. The chicken was so stiff like chicken that had been in the refrigerator. Can’t believe they served that to me they probably thought I was not going to eat it there because I said to go because I normally don’t eat it all and take some with me. I threw the steak and chicken out and settled for rice and mac salad’s feel like this place is failing
