I’ve finally found my favorite Taiwanese restaurant in the east coast. This spot is the spot to try if you want real authentic Taiwanese food with extensive menu items. My eyes lit up when I saw the menu. The owners are from Tainan, Taiwan which is often consider the culinary capital of Taiwan with many iconic traditional dishes and flavors. The restaurant is spacious but it does not have many table seatings (3-5 tables?). When we came it wasn’t busy so we got a spot but we did see many people coming in for their takeout orders. The oldies they play at the restaurant take me back to my childhood. The place is structured very interestingly where it’s an open kitchen so you can actually easily see how they prep the food in the back. We ordered: - oyster omelette pancake - mung wort kueh (4

The best braised pork rice I’ve had in a very long time. Their salt and pepper chicken was super tender and the rice sausage/taiwanese sausage was so good! The braised dishes were ok. Only complaint is the beef noodle soup; we waited waited 20 mins and for $16 you get three pieces of meat. It was average noodle soup and definitely not worth the price.

I recently discovered Master Huang, a new restaurant in town. While some might find the owner stern, I see it as a sign of solemn professionalism. It's heartwarming to see the owner working diligently alongside his elderly parents—a true family collaboration. The food is well-flavored and definitely worth a try.

Cannot believe that after living in Queens for over 10 years I just now discover this diamond in the rough. Had the typical braised pork rice滷肉飯, pork meatballs in clear soup貢丸湯, and fried glutenous rice bun filled with meat & pickled veggies肉圓。All are delicious! Dreaming about traditional Taiwanese food all the time, I’m going to have to bike here from afar just to be able to burn off the calorie I’ll be consuming every time. There’s only one small table of two and a large table of six people… I was lucky went at off lunch/ dinner time. Most people walked in just had their meals to go.
