This place truly captures the soul of Kolkata street food. The kochuri with ghugni was absolutely outstanding, perfectly crisp on the outside, soft inside, and packed with authentic flavors that instantly reminded me of home. The kathi roll was equally amazing, with well-spiced filling and that classic Kolkata-style wrap done just right. We also tried vegetable chop, fish fry, fulcopir singara and everything was delicious. And to finish it off, the rosogolla was soft, fresh, and melt-in-the-mouth, exactly the kind you crave when you’re missing home. Every bite felt nostalgic and comforting. Highly recommended for anyone looking for real, home-like Kolkata food in New York. Sitting area is relatively small but the owner's welcoming attitude is something I appreciate.

We wanted a different meal and that’s we tasted. Although we’ve been in many areas of India we have never tasted the Bengali cuisine. We discussed choices with Debjani and he recommended the Luchi & Chholar Dal and the Kochuri & Aloor Dom. Both dishes were very enjoyable. He recommended the Roshogolla for desert and it excellent. The Resturant is very simple and there are only two tables - seating for 8. Look at the menu - they have a large take out selection for gatherings.

Wonderful meal today! My husband is a big fan of Kolkata food, and he found the flavors here very nostalgic. We especially enjoyed the Fish Fry, Fish Kofta, and the Korai Shuti Kochuri with Aloor Dom. Everything was fresh, the taste was decent, and the prices are fair. This place is a gem. We had the mutton curry and paneer, excellent flavor and worth every penny. A plus for the owner being very sweet and extremely accommodating to us and our requests. A great local spot you don't want to miss.
