Mason County Public Library

One of the best libraries in the area. Large facility with section for kids, quiet workspace area and even a covered outdoor area. Rivals libraries in Cincinnati with much more funding and surpasses some.

Wonderful staff...a must see hub for the community to enjoy. It's renovation turned out absolutely lovely and innovations and activities for all ages are abundant. I enjoy my time there so much!

I'm from Texas but visit Mason County every July, for a family reunion. My first stop when I arrive is almost always the public library. Great selection and the book sales rack is always full of good titles. I always end up with at least a dozen good books to bring home. Staffed by friendly, helpful people.

When I move into a new community, I usually have a library card within the first few days. I am a lifelong bookworm and libraries are my home away from home. I love this one and really enjoy all the activities, the use of space, the cozy nooks for reading or relaxing, the wonderful staff, the hours, and the resources available to the public there. In fact, it is so wonderful, I am tempted to give it five stars except for one thing that is a big deal to a total book nerd like me and that is the collections. If there is an author with multiple books in a series, such as Janet Evanovich, the Jack Reacher series, or CJ Box, I cannot understand why there would be random books with no particular rhyme or reason on the shelves.
