Mary Lee's Cafe

The hubby and I stopped by Mary Lee's for an early dinner while exploring Tuscumbia, a city we'd never been to before. We started off with fried mushrooms, followed by the chicken tenders platter for the hubs and a double bacon cheeseburger with seasoned fries for myself. The fried mushrooms were hand breaded, the seasoning in the breading was chef's kiss perfect. The chicken tenders were fried to perfection, perfectly seasoned and also hand breaded. The burger...I'm not scared to admit i was intimidated by it lol. The meat was hand pattied and seasoned just right, and the veggies tasted like they had just come from a garden out back. Down home local place. Home cooked food. Giant hamburger. Tender chicken fingers. About four miles off the main road. Worth your trip. Good onion rings.

Came across this out in the country restaurant while out riding. My first time there. I had the mushroom Swiss burger with fries. Food came pretty quick. Service was great. Our server was very polite and checked on us several times. I would highly recommend and support their business. Since it’s local and family owned.

The bacon cheeseburger, potato wedges, onion rings & chicken strips were fantastic! Fresh ground beef and hand patted with fresh vegetables made my burger disappear!! (I ate it all!!) The hand breaded chicken strips were tasty, hot & delicious! The owner & staff were personable, friendly & welcoming! We will be back!! Next time we might try breakfast or their meat & three for dinner!!

This place is a hidden gem on the mountain. The food is amazing and very reasonably priced and I always feel like family when I walk in! They know my order by heart and make me feel so welcome.
