Customer Reviews
Overall everything was great. We went around 7-8pm, so there wasn't a lot of ready deep fried and onigiri available. I'm sure they would have fried fresh if we asked. Still crispy even though we went late. Great variety of Ramen. We didn't enjoy the unagi taco. The "shell" was too hard for us to bite through but the unagi itself was well seasoned and tender. Would come back. (Other items we ate were not photographed. )
I love the design of this place! You can order from the two kiosks available or directly at the counter from a person. I came here specifically for the hand-pulled noodles. I didn't see anyone making them but the food was delicious, nevertheless! Everything came out pretty fast. We got a little bit of everything--Seafood Udon, Chicken Katsu Curry Don, Shrimp Tempura Sushi Taco, Salmon Omusubi, and Brown Sugar Boba. My mom makes her own udon, and while hers will always be my favorite, this place had good, springy noodles that soaked up the broth. We absolutely loved everything we got! So glad we stopped here while we were in Minnesota!
Excellent udon delicious broth and beef and Onsen egg was made perfectly. Love the “Tacos”. However the shrimp tempura was disappointed. It was very dense and hard. It felt like the batter water ratio was a bit off. The shrimp was rubber due to overcooking. I would come back for the udon but not the tempura.
Had the Curry Nikutama Udon. Great flavor on the sauce with a little kick of spice. Great chew on the udon. Nice tendor beef. Was a bit surprised by the cold raw egg so heads up on that. Decent takoyaki but definitely cold since it was sitting out.
This japanese Udon restaurant is so good. My wife and I live exactly 1 hour away from this location. Our drive was worth trying these noodles. We had two different bowls. Mine was a sweet beef curry udon and my wife's was a savory curry udon with chicken cutles (chicken katsu). Anyone who wants to know this curry isn't spicy. I'm sure it could be if you wanted it. The noodles felt and tasted fresh. I don't know if they make them onsite, but I feel like dried and cooked noodles have a specific difference compared to fresh and boiled. We were greeted upon entry and as we were leaving. That really reminded me of the japanese traditions. We'll be back.
