Martinsville Tavern

First time here, visiting for Valentine’s Day dinner. The food was good and nicely presented. I ordered the French pork chop, my husband had the short rib, and my son chose the butcher’s hanger steak. We all enjoyed our meals, everything was well prepared and flavorful. The service was excellent. The staff was attentive, friendly, and on top of everything. My water glass was never empty, which I always appreciate. Overall, a pleasant first visit and a solid choice for a nice dinner out.

Haven’t been back for a while, looking forward to going back again. The salad was good and the burger was nice. It’s a nice place to catch up with a friend if you want a nice place to chat and eat. The atmosphere is very easy and comfortable.

We have been here several times and the food never disappoints!! The risotto dish is spectacular. Not pictured is their eggplant rollatini which is the best we have ever had!! A must order. Cocktails are great and fairly priced. Don’t miss this place!

This place was awesome. After our bike ride at Chimney Rock, we did a quick Google search and voila a few minutes down the road. We got there right when they opened. It is on a major road with plenty of parking in the rear. The staff at this shift were very accommodating. They sat us in the front of the building. Which looked like a new addition. Empty wine glasses where out this place looked snazzy. The majority of the group ordered the Brisket sandwich while two odd balls ordered the burger. The burger looked juicy. The brisket was tasty, but the amount of fries we all got were disappointing. I wouldn’t even say just right. More fries would of been appreciated. Will come again if I am in town to try other dishes.

So bad. Service was terrible. When I asked for a box, the waiter handed me the box and my finger was cut and bleeding from the takeout box. I was bleeding from my finger. On top of that, waiter rushed to order for me and didn’t bother asking if I wanted the fig crostini. He ordered for me, saying it’s good. I didn’t ask for the fig crostini. I asked about the fig crostini but he ordered for me. Order chicken special and it was sour. So sour with artichokes. Had garlic and I can’t have garlic. I didn’t like my food at all. I ordered a chicken special and it was extremely Sour. Had garlic when I couldn’t have garlic. I got an appetizer I didn’t want, and a paper cut on my finger and my finger bled. And bad sour chicken with garlic when server knows I can’t have garlic.
