The service was amazing, I was met at the door by a nice young man. He helped me to pick out the dishes as this was my first time trying afghani food. The rice was very tasty and light. And the meat was tender and flavorful. The bread that they gave us was amazing.

I have told just about everyone who will listen how good this place is. Probably the best restaurant I’ve had in all of NJ. Months later we can’t stop talking about the bread alone. Our first time trying Afghani food & now plan on spending our birthdays there

This was our first time trying Afghanistan cuisine, and I’m seriously impressed. The meat was tender and juicy, the bread was warm and soft, and the sauces were all so uniquely flavorful. Even the tomato cucumber salad was impressive compared to other places we’ve dined at. Elegant and cozy atmosphere, as well as good service. I wish more of these locations existed.

On the nineteenth of August, Afghan Independence Day, I dined inside this wonderful and healthy restaurant in honor of Afghanistan. That was not only my very first time having Afghan cuisine but likewise, that day was my first time going to an Afghan restaurant on Afghan Independence Day despite Afghanistan never actually being a colony of any country in its history. I had a lovely time. Lastly, the lamb shank I had as my main course was appealing along with the manti dumplings, and the Afghan green tea with saffron. The special dates I had were delicious too.

Not the same as the one in Martinsville. The service was not great, although the waitress was pleasant, but for a high end restaurant no allergies were asked or food preference. I have been to the one in Martinsville a lot and loved the food but wasn’t unaware it is not the same. Not kids friendly. I went specifically because my son loved the Hills of Herat in Martinsville, I sent back the kebab that had a sauce on top to be replaced twice but got the same both time, first time they removed the sauce but it still had the onion on top, the second time they just grilled it, my son went out without eating it at all. The bread has sesame seeds and some people are allergic to it. Although the waitress apologized and was open to suggestions but I walked out unsatisfied for what I paid.
