Martinsburg-Berkeley Public Libraries

Are they ever gonna finish with the asbestos removal,and renovations?been over a year and I can't get to any of the other libraries because the buses don't run those ways

I recently visited the Library in search of a 2002 newspaper article featuring an interview with my grandfather about his service in Korea, which I wanted to include in his funeral service. Not only did the librarian help me find the article, but she also patiently guided me on how to use the microfilming machine and print the article. What's more, she selflessly took care of the fee. During a challenging time, her kindness and generosity went beyond a small act of kindness - she embodied the true spirit of humanity. I'm deeply grateful for her help and compassion. Thank you!

I like our library very much...staff is always polite and helpful. It's very close to my home as well, which is another reason why i enjoy going. As well as a good book selection, sufficient computer lab, and good DVDs. If they don't have materials you need, they will order them or find them for you. Great atmosphere inside and benches outside are a plus in warm weather. Also a small park area with benches just across the street, on the Queen Street side, gives patrons another place to take books and relax! Have no complaints!

The children's section of this library is top-notch. They have a large selection of older books, which are our favorite. It's hard to find books printed before 1990 in other libraries (other than Tom Sawyer), but we found dozens on just one trip. The librarians are friendly and always willing to help. I hope they keep up the older book purchases!

The staff at the Martinsburg Public Library have been great! They even went above the call of duty by helping me after hours with a lost item when they could have just as easily made me come back the next day. If your ever in need of a space for a meeting I highly recommend them. The space they provide is excellent and so is their desire to make your events a success. Thanks a lot Library staff, for all your hard work and great attitudes! I look forward to working with you all more in the future.
