Martin's Fish House

Ok the catfish plate was amazing. The seasoning, breading, 10/10. 3 hours later and I’m still eating off my plate. The dirty rice was delicious too. It was my first time ever having it and I’m glad they were my first! I just hate that they don’t take debit cards😩

Breakfast of champions!!! Always love when I'm in the city and can stop by for breakfast. My wife had a BEC (bacon, egg and cheese sandwich) with a small cheese grits on the side. My mom had a whole catfish order with fried corn and side salad. (Yes, I ordered a whole catfish order before 10am on Saturday morning.) I had a pantrout breakfast with cheese grits and eggs over light! MAN!!! Everything was ON Point!!! Brandy is always firm, but fair and today she even smiled a couple times! If you go by tell her that her cousin Walter sent you!!! You will not be disappointed for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Please check their hours of operation before you go and they are CASH ONLY!!!

It doesn’t look like much on the outside but you go inside and it’s like walking back in time with all the memorabilia on the walls. History wall to wall.Now about this food it was DELICIOUS. I got the catfish plate and a order of fried green tomatoes. My husband got the shrimp poboy and an order of fried green tomatoes. I’m very picky when it comes to my fish and fried green tom. But I never expect it to be so good and fresh. Everyone was very friendly. Will definitely be going back.. plus they have deserts homemade if you have room for it.

Found this place while driving one day. The beautiful vintage sign caught my attention! I love vintage signs and i love fish houses and i think this is perfect timing! So i wasted no time and tried this place. My work has allowed me to be all over Mississippi, small town and big town, i always try the local fish houses and i have tried quite many. But Wow, i can say that this is definitely in my Top 5 list! I mean, most places only have catfish or catfish and pan trout. But Martin's they have them both plus Buffalo and ocean perch! And their fish is done best, juicy and not over cooked with just the right amount of breading not to alter the flavor of the fish, good crunch and crispiness and almost no trace of grease! Very nice subtle flavor and delicious. Portions are more than enough and

I got the catfish dinner. It came with two sides I choose macaroni and fried okra. Both of the sides were pretty good. The fish was nice and hot perfectly seasoned. Nice size portions for your money. The hush puppies were just a ball of fried bread nothing special at all. Cash only and it’s an increased price for farm raised catfish $19 or $16 for imported. Tater sauce is an extra 50 cents but it’s so very delicious.
