Martin City Brewing Co. Pizza & Taproom - Lenexa

Thank you to my waitress (Monica) for suggesting the menu item AND deink choice! I was super indecisive and leaned on her for the choice experience today. She did great! It's like she knew just what my tummy was needing on this cold winter Saturday! The atmosphere was unmatched with the 70s love soul music 🎶 selection, and the vibe was friendly but fast.

We went for the Christmas pop-up. It was amazing. Crowded, for sure, but not uncomfortable. The food was great and fast. The buffalo macaroni and cheese is a bit spicy, but I like it. The decor can't be beat.

I like Martin city but not love it. The food is okay but not good enough for the service. I had to raise my hand and ask other servers to find my server, no one was responsive. People next to us were yelling and obnoxious and needed to get cut off but they were still being served. Also, don’t go on Sunday night. I asked the live musician to play a song with a $20 Tip and he never sang it. Like yeah it’s cute but I won’t go there for the prices they ask. Abysmal.

I have a love/hate type of relationship with this place. The food is good. Today I had the meatball sandwich and it was excellent. Others enjoy their pizza. We were there for a birthday, for which they don't do anything special. We had multiple appetizers that were really good. My issue is the noise! I couldn't hear the person two chairs down from me. My throat was sore from talking so loud. We go there with friends that like their pizza so I'm sure we will return.

I like the vibe and the selection of alcohol. Food is a bit of a miss. First visit I got the Cuban: it was served on the wrong bread vs what was on the menu and was a little light on the meat - multiple bites with little to no meat. Came back to try the pizza and it also was not for me.
