Marshall Public Library

This is a wonderful library with the most helpful librarians. I came here to do genealogy research and Jamie Poorman has been so helpful and she has a wealth of research knowledge. All of the librarians are super helpful with everything from copies of documents to Internet research, and how to download to a thumb drive. The genealogy section room is very good and very well organized. I am making this my home base for family research now. Thank you all so much for helping me.

2 stars not becuase of the library itself but the staff. Called an hour before they closed, asked what was needed for a library card living locally. Instead of an answer I was told "we close soon, so you should wait until Monday" Sounds like an excuse to not do your job to spread knowledge to me.

This library was one of the best small town libraries I have ever visited!! It had a lot of information on President Abraham Lincoln and how he had ties to Marshall, Illinois. The children’s area was very popular with my two children ages 7 and 9 months. They had a lot of great children’s books as well as different kinds of games and activities. It wasn’t crowded and neither was it loud! Definitely a great place to learn about the local area! I can’t wait to go back again!

I love our little library. It's just been renovated and looks wonderful. My kids love the kid area, and if they don't have what you need - they have a great multi-library borrowing system.
