Fantastic Asian Takeout style (we dined in). Staff is SO nice and food was fresh and delicious! We had lunch specials which came with a little salad and we ordered a seaweed salad appetizer, Pad Thai (So good) and 'plant ribs'. All fantastic! Bonus that it was vegan! This will definitely be out new takeout spot and lunch spot. There was parking on the road as well.

I was upset when I found out that Thai Coconut - the restaurant previously in this space - unexpectedly closed [the owner(s) retired], but I gave Marrygold a chance and I'm really glad that I did. The new proprietor is very kind, and eager to accommodate her guests. I was skeptical at first about the vegetarian menu, but I am actually really impressed with her plant based protein, and their flavors and textures. Her plant based chicken drumsticks are very delicious, and I actually could eat them as a meal by themselves; but they are just an appetizer for now. She also told me that 90% of her menu is vegan-friendly, and she can modify certain dishes that normally include egg to be vegan. One of the absolute best vegan and vegetarian restaurants on Long Island! I have been trying to go for a long time due to the raving reviews on Facebook and last night was my first chance to try it. Erin the owner was a delight! She constantly checked on us which I appreciated. Next, I want to speak about the food! There was an array of options, which made me want to try everything! I ended up choosing the shrimp roll for an app. It was fried to perfection and had a very similar texture and taste to shrimp. My cousin ordered the scallion pancake which was also delicious. First time eating at MarryGold and It was incredible! New Asian fusion restaurant in the area and I can not recommend enough. The service was so great and the food was delicious. Everything came out warm and efficiently. We ordered the Roti Cani for an appetizer and it was a 10/10!! I got pad Thai for my entree which was very good and a good portion of food. I am not vegetarian but really enjoyed the soy protein in the dish! My friend ordered the Tom Yum soup and also really enjoyed it. Her soup was a great portion size! LOVE this place. The owner was so sweet she gave me some delicious lychee. The place is like 90% vegan because she uses eggs but she’s hoping to use an alternative. The food was great and I will be back. I heard about it yesterday and decided to go before I go back to college. Will be back again. The broccoli plant protein was so good but salt and pepper plant pork was amazing.
