We had a great experience at Mariposa Taqueria! Delicious food - we loved the pescado tacos, the arepas, and the Mexican street corn. Our server Antonio was really helpful. The atmosphere was lively and fun. I would definitely recommend Mariposa Taqueria and we will be back for another delicious dinner!
Highly recommend it, the food was delicious, James was the server, and he was amazing. The decoration is beautiful and unique, the ambience is super cool, and very comfy cushions. You can have a hard seating or soft spot. Plenty of room for a group and their menu is well layout. James showed me the digital pictures of the food to order from the menu. My friend from Oklahoma loved the food too.
It's a great vibe and the people and the drinks are nice. The menu and the portions are very small. That's kind of a non starter for me. The Guac and chips is so small, it's what most mexican restaurants give out for free when you order a meal. Tacos? every Mex rest I've ever been to you get three, sometimes four. Here? two. Cool place, but very limited menu and very small portions for the money. I went there three years ago, now again. See you in three years, maybe.
Sat at the bar for a beverage and a couple snacks and was overall quite happy with our experience. The bartender was friendly and helpful in selecting beverages and food. There are probably 10 seats at the bar in an L shape with high chairs and plenty of space. The atmosphere is quite lively and bright (perhaps a little too bright) and there really isn’t anything to help cut down on the noise as the floors are concrete and there aren’t many cushions. The arepas were tasty - nice chew to the corn cake and stuffed with plenty of filling. The highlight was definitely the tostones. Super salty, nice crunch but still very tender. The dipping sauce was the highlight of the meal - simply olive oil with some spices and a huge punch of fresh garlic. If you plan on smooching after dinner definitely
Not from their area, we were passing through and thought, "Heck yeah, Mexican food, let’s try that." Well, that’s what we did. But we didn’t realize the food is small-sized here. No sides unless extra, and the chips and salsa were a small sample size. Don’t get me wrong, the food was great and the server was awesome. I just wasn’t expecting small portions for a Mexican restaurant. We are from California, so we know how they serve it up over there. We can in for lunch I don’t know if dinner menu is different.
