Brazas Market & Churrasqueira

Great value, tasty food in a casual setting. The portions are generous, and the prices are very reasonable. The bread and olives for the table were a nice touch. We started with the shrimp cakes which are quite large. 6 for $9 is a bargain. I had the half chicken dish with rice and broccoli for $12 (I replaced the fries for vegetables). The other 2 had the "la brazas" steak, also replacing the fries.

I’ve gone here multiple times now, it has by far the best pastries around. They are made fresh and the donuts with egg cream are sublime. I usually go just for coffee and pastries, which are both top European quality, yet I have also gone for lunch and it was equally as good. I love the atmosphere as well since you are able to sit and relax and it’s seems there is no rush at all. If you’re looking for a place to rest and enjoy incredible cuisine this is the place. A gastronomical delight.

Brazas was offered under "Taste of Danbury" and I went in to try. I got the Chicken with fries and rice. Very well made. The ladies at the counter were very friendly and when I asked more seafood, I realized both the codfish and squid are the ones to try next!

Staff is really kind, food was amazing (I had the wine steak). Very generous serving sizes and the pastries are also delicious. Will definitely be coming back again in the future.

Second time here and still amazing Portuguese food and feel. People is always super nice and helpful and the food is super fresh and tasty. Love eating there and ordering some nice chicken to take away home.
