Marion County Lake Swimming Area

We have a trailer here and love the peacefulness. The park is a little short on amenities but it is only 5 minutes to Marion for anything you need. They have no-wake times on the lake in the morning for canoe and kayak soft-water bliss. The “residents” are friendly and look out for each other. The Lake Superintendent, Isaac, is super nice and does a great job.

Tons of camping, picnic and fishing spots. Bathrooms could use some work. Very pretty and clean. Great bluegrass festival!

The swimming area is very busy during the summer! The people who work in the lake office are very nice, informative and helpful. I always take a picnic lunch and fish most of the day.
