Love this library branch! I took my nephew to their New Year’s event, and they did an amazing job. There were plenty of activities to keep the kids entertained, and my nephew had a blast. Unfortunately, we missed the balloon drop, but I heard it was great, and they even provided food for the kids. I’ve also visited on my own just to read and enjoy a quiet space, and it’s always been a lovely experience. The staff is consistently sweet and welcoming. 10/10.

We love this library! You will be welcomed by very kind and friendly staff who always so helpful if you need some assistance with books. They offer story times for kids with craft activities and free play after. My son loves coming here and always has the best time!

When you think of a library there are very engrained, specific images and nuances that come into in one's head. Stacks of books, the nostalgic smell of old paper, the librarian with glasses around the edging of their nose, and the demand for silence. This library doesn't have any of those stuffy, boring things. Marion Baysinger Library is an absolute perfect place for children of all ages. From the wide variety of educational classes offered, online access to the entire Lake County library system, computers, WiFi, exceptional options for students of all ages, homeschooling enrichment programs, and extremely helpful and dedicated staff, this library takes all your preconceived notions of the typical library and shatters them. We absolutely love this Library! We go every Wednesday for storytime and crafts, and it’s one of the highlights of our week. The staff is always so kind and engaging, and the activities are perfect for young kids—creative, fun, and thoughtfully planned. The library also has a great selection of books that’s always being updated, which keeps things fresh for both kids and adults. And a bonus: you can even check out Nintendo Switch games! It’s such a gem for families in the area—highly recommend!

We’ve been coming to this sweet small-town library for the past 3 years, and it’s truly become a special part of our lives. The librarians are some of the kindest, most thoughtful people you’ll ever meet — always welcoming and ready with a smile. Their story time and holiday events are the best around, filled with creativity, fun, and heart. It’s more than just a place to check out books — it’s where we discovered homeschooling resources and even made lifelong friends. We’re so grateful for this gem in our community!
