Maria's Bakery

I bought a pack of 11 Sweet Cheese Pastries—my first time trying Romanian sweet bread. The outside was like a lightly sweetened brioche, which I liked, but the cheese filling was crumbly and the texture felt off. I even tried heating one, but it didn’t help. Hard to enjoy due to the texture. The gentleman helping me was good, though the woman with him seemed upset while speaking to him. I couldn’t understand the language, but the tone and body language were noticeable. The total was $25, and I don’t recall seeing a price posted. Next time, I’ll buy just one when trying unfamiliar pastries.

I love Maria's Bakery! The way she makes Romanian cakes and foods is very authentic. Everything tastes like my mom's cooking. Every time I order something from Maria's bakery I am happy. When I bite into the traditional Romanian cakes I travel back into my childhood. I cannot wait to order my Christmas sweets from here again.

It s so hard to find romanian food in USA so I was so happy to find this place! Everything is great, the selection/variety, the products and the people!! Everything was so fresh, you could see the bags steaming and everybody was working hard in the back! Besides sweets and savory salty snacks (mainly) they also have a small variety of cooked food! The people working there were soo nice and chatty! Will be back from Tennessee with any occasion and even just for this place, totally recommend it if you miss home or just if you want to try some homemade romanian delicacies!

Rude personal and cold , they don't like when you ask questions about their product. They don't like when you ask about the cost of item you are interested to buy. None of the products are labeled with prices. They don't like when you ask for receipt. The prices are way to high. I will not waist my time and money to go to that place anymore. Also poor quality !

I know I should probably be gatekeeping this but if you go Saturday mornings, they make and sell elephant ears and donuts that will fix your attitude for the whole day. No picture because I already ate them on the way home.
