Maria Bonita Restaurant

We’re absolutely obsessed with this restaurant! It’s a beautiful place in our area, and we’ve been lucky enough to visit three times. Each time, we’ve had outstanding service, great drinks, and delicious food. They also have great options for kids. We can’t wait to sit on the patio during the summer.

Great Mexican restaurant with a lovely upscale atmosphere. We sat on the second floor and got a great view of the lake and mountains at sunset, then listened to the live mariachi band playing downstairs…they were very good. Service was excellent. Food was great and authentic Mexican. I highly recommend their combination plates. You get a lot of food for a very reasonable price. We brought our kids with us and they enjoyed the crayons and coloring pages. The kids menu had a lot of options for food as well. We will definitely be back soon.

Another date night with my beautiful Bride, this time at Maria Bonita Restaurant. She waited patiently for them to open. We went on a Saturday around 6:30 — hardly any parking and standing room only at the hostess stand, which is usually a good sign. The hostess said it would be about a 45-minute wait, but if there was a spot at the bar, we could sit there. No luck — the bar was full. Fortunately, we weren’t standing long before someone who I believe was the manager asked how many were in our party and led us to a small two-person table near the bar. What a break! We were greeted quickly by Leo, who took our drink order. My Bride ordered an authentic margarita, and I went for the jalapeño margarita. Both were delicious — mine had just the right kick. Very fun mexican restaurant! This is an upbeat and exciting place to go for dinner and drinks with friends and family. The decor is fun and the music is entertaining. We had the hungos salsa as an appetizer and it was unique and delicious. We also really loved the elote dippers. I forgot to take a picture of my main course but I loved the enchiladas Mexico. I can’t wait to visit later at night and I’m so happy that this restaurant has later hours than most places in the area!

We went to Maria Bonita yesterday for a girls’ Christmas gift exchange and had the BEST time. From the moment we walked in, they were so accommodating and patient with all of our requests and last-minute changes (and yes… we were probably a little difficult 😅). Our server Leo was AMAZING — he kept everything fun, handled our chaos like a pro, and truly made the night memorable. The mariachi band was something we’ll never forget, and the ice shots with the bell were an absolute blast. To top it all off, the manager/owner (not sure which, but incredibly generous!) surprised us with a round of shots at the end of the night, which was such a classy and thoughtful touch.
