Mannie's Seafood

This restaurant is a hidden gem. It has a lot of light outside and inside the restaurant, it is bright and clean. the food is surprisingly good and price is very affordable. Every platter come with a side of French fries or fried rice. I chose a fried rice as a side. It tastes very well. It’s Jumbo shrimp fried very well.

It's not terrible. The food is decent, although the portions seem on the smaller side compared to similar restaurants, like Mambo's or Connie's, that are in the same price range. We went on a Friday night during Lent so obviously it was busy, but they seemed short staffed. Our waitress forgot several simple things, but she was always very nice and friendly. There Lunch Menu seemed decently priced and I would probably come back to try it again.

We love the pork fried rice, fry flounder and fry catfish. All the portions a great size. I always either split something with my little one or my husband and I will share flounder. Prices are great. Food always comes out fresh. Especially the salad always look so fresh. The owner is awesome, so sweet. We go at least two times a month. I preferred this place over any other Seafood places. I actually love Nannie's fried rice much better than Mambo's.

This location is fairly new to the area. We read reviews for the location at Gulf Freeway while in the parking lot, and hoped this location was just as good. Food was great, good prices, and great customer service. We recently went on a Saturday, not crowded at all and great beer specials.

The atmosphere was freindly, and prices were reasonable. More cafe style. It was a busy Friday night. But the combination plate chicken and shrimp was so hard and dry it was inedible. Extremely overcooked! Or maybe had been sitting in steam tray all say.. not sure. Hushpuppies were great though, fresh and crisp. We won't be back. So many other places to try.
