Absolutely divine experience. We got the bruschetta as an appetizer, gnocchi, duck ragu, and tagliolini for entrees, and for dessert: tiramisu, panna cotta, and the fried dough Nutella balls. Every single item was spectacular. The gnocchi was mine and I’ve truly never had more succulent, soft but shapely gnocchi. The four cheese sauce was perfectly balanced and the crispy bread crumbs on top - incredible. Even the tendrils were perfectly thought out, adding a lightness that really brought it all together. They serve focaccia and olive oil before the food comes out and it is perfectly pillowy. The Nutella balls really stood out, the only critique there is that they could’ve used more Nutella. All in all, this place is a 10 out of 10.
Made a reservation for my fiancé’s birthday. The place is nice and lively, service was great, and the focaccia, olive oil, and Caprese di Bufala were delicious. I had the seafood risotto and he ordered the Gnocchi al Quattro Formaggi. They were both okay. Nothing spectacular. I’d recommend the restaurant, just avoid sitting under the heater.
What a great little spot! The atmosphere feels modern and timeless at the same time - as at home in Metuchen as it would be in NYC. The focaccia is incredible to start and the menu has a nice variety without being overwhelming in breadth. Everything we had was delicious. It wasn't a cheap meal but was priced appropriately for what you receive coming in around $60-70/person without desserts. It's certainly worth a stop if you're in the area or even if you want a nice meal and would drive 30-45min drive. We will definitely return!
Food was very delicious and flavorful. Portions were not large, but filling. Aesthetics were on point for a cute date night. Cons: They don’t have a full bar of soft drinks and liquor. It’s pretty much a wine bar & The wine is also pretty pricey. Overall a cute spot. Also couldn’t add protein to the arrabiata so while it was good, expect to be hungry soon after
I really loved Mangai Tascano. The food was amazing and everything tasted so fresh. The fish was definitely the highlight for me, perfectly cooked and super flavorful. The staff were super friendly and made the whole experience even better. The vibe of the place was really nice too, relaxed and welcoming, so it was easy to just sit back and enjoy. Honestly, everything about this place felt spot on. I’ll definitely be coming back and would totally recommend it to anyone looking for a great meal.
