Mambo's Cafe - Buford

My family and I were passing through Buford and stopped at this vegetarian-friendly Cuban restaurant. The guac was honestly the best I’ve ever had — and the vegetarian lo mein was also delicious. However, things took a turn when the rest of our food arrived. The skirt steak was so tough it was difficult to cut, and the Enchilado de Vegetales tasted overwhelmingly like hot sauce and was inedible. The manager handled the situation professionally and helped us swap our meals, which we really appreciated.

My friend and I were going for a drink and dessert so we went straight to the bar. We did no waiting at all. Shortly after, people were starting to arrive and it was getting busy, which is a very good sign. I recommend the flan and the chocolate lava cake. To drink we got the mambo-jito I believe it’s called. It was really good. We kept getting asked by our server if we were good or needed anything else so that was good too. The music was good.

This is one of the best Latin Restaurants I have been to. The food was delicious and cooked to perfection! The flan for dessert was wonderful. It was the perfect consistency and density. Best I ever had! I forgot to take the picture of the flan...

Tried this place on a whim. And was not disappointed. Great selection of Cuban, Peruvian and other Central/South American cuisines. The vegetables and seafood were fresh and perfectly seasoned - though watch out for that green sauce they serve with the bread, its super spicy!

Great food, great vibes, and great service. Went on a Sunday for lunch right when it opened and food came pretty quickly. Food was delicious and I def will be coming back. Pollo al Ajillo and Chicken Noodle soup were great.
