Went on a Thursday with party of 12 for my daughter's birthday dinner. The young lady that greeted and took our order was lovely, patient and accommodating for the special requests for drinks. The wait for dinner plates was quite a long time. Some of the guest received their food about the time I was ready to go. The atmosphere was nice but too dark and music was too loud. They only had one unisex bathroom for whole restaurant. The food itself was delicious. They have one poor guy in the kitchen doing all the cooking which was part of the reason for the wait time. I would not recommend Mambo for groups bigger than 4. For being winter they had inadequate heating system. They two space heaters because a minisplit couldn't work hard enough. Very cold and had to put my jacket back on.

The day we went was quite empty despite being a Friday night. Most staff were just on their phone since they had nothing to do. Our server was quite rude, but the lady who seated us was quite nice. The place was so cold though. It was 20 F when we went and they were attempting to use a mini-split climate control system as a heat pump, which doesn’t work at such cold temperatures. I was bundled in my winter jacket and i was still cold. The music was pretty terrible and unreasonably loud, so much so that it was difficult to talk. However, the interior was quite vibey, and the food was really good and well-decorated despite being quite small for the price. Would not recommend this place.

This restaurant is great. The food was awesome, the drinks were pretty good, the service was excellent, and the vibe was nice. I appreciate the server making a special mixed drink for us. Seems like the customer service has improved, considering the reviews on this topic. As far as the check, I do have to say, as others have mentioned, it could be misleading; the main check says 15% tip included, but then you get the second one (the one that you have to sign), and it shows all percentages you can tip (the server does NOT point that out). If you don't pay close attention, you will end up tipping twice (images included). Other than that, we had a great experience and will be going back soon!

Went on a Sunday night around 11pm. Hostess/greeter was very nice chose to sit at the bar because we just wanted drinks. My husband and I ordered a double rum on the rocks each…. The guy that took care of us was defy it the bartender. Didn’t know where the bottles were and used the jigger to measure the drinks, which is completely fine, but only measure a single. Told him I noticed (I’m a bartender myself) and he was very standoffish about it. Charged us 33$ for basically 2 sips of alcohol, added a gratuity on the charge. When the charge receipt came, the itemized receipt was missing. Basically paid $40 for 2 1oz shots on the rocks. Definitely disputing my cc charge.

When a restaurant includes gratuity they're usually playing themselves because I tip generally 25-50% depending on service. If you are including gratuity in the bill it should be stated by the server every time. Overall vibe of the restaurant was nice. I like the Latino/sushi fusion menu. I ordered a fried rice with shrimp ($37👀 for 4 or 5 tiny shrimp, wouldn't get that again). Overall had a good time and would come back for hookah & drinks and to try more of the menu out
