Mama's Snack Shack

I long heard tales that this had the best burger in LA. I decided finally to visit on my birthday. It was 45 minutes to Compton and worth it. NOTE: It's easy to miss the storefront, The trick is to drive into the large parking lot just south of the storefront. I love the menu here because you can add an egg, pastrami, extra Patty and then there's choices of hot relish and sweet relish. Get both. This is Mama's place and Mama is the best, incredibly friendly, generous and they serve great food. I haven't had chili cheese fries in 6 or 7 years and it was worth breaking that pledge to eat it here. It was so good. I think there's just a little hint of oregano in it that gives it a great flavor. That's unexpected. I ordered a double turkey burger with pastrami and everything on it but mustar

We were just driving by and stumbled upon this little burger spot. I ordered the double cheeseburger and cheese fries,so good! The mom who runs the place was super kind and friendly. Our whole family really enjoyed the meal. 😊 By the way, we’re from Taiwan, and we totally recommend stopping by if you’re in the area!

Amazing burgers, big portions, and Mama is so kind!! Definitely recommend, worth a long drive to enjoy some bomb burgers with friends!

First time here for me, my wife, and son. I ordered a double cheeseburger with pastrami, my wife got a single bacon chili cheeseburger, and my son got a single burger without cheese, and of course I also ordered chili cheese fries. Omg, burgers were so....... amazingly good, and same goes for the chili cheese fries!! If you haven't been here yet, you Have to come by and try Mama's Special Burgers & Fries!! You won't be disappointed, infact you'll come back for more!!!

Absolutely amazing food! The burger was juicy, flavorful, and stacked with all the right toppings way better than In-N-Out in my opinion. The chili cheese fries were loaded and delicious, and everything was freshly made. Great service. Highly recommend stopping by if you’re craving a solid, mouthwatering burger! Thank you Mama shack!
