Mama's on the Half Shell Owings Mills

This was an impromptu outing as we had no plans to dine out but ended up here after looking at the menu. Pros - Seated immediately and our server joined us within 30 seconds of seating down. Important to note that this was on a Monday evening so not sure how weekend looks like. Orders came out with no delay. I had the Asian glazed Salmon with a side of rice and veggies and it was just okay. Nothing spectacular about the salmon. Didn’t taste the pasta but I heard it was good and it looked good too.

This dining experience was perfect! From the staff, food, and the interior design of the restaurant, everything went smoothly! The greeters, server, food runners, and the chefs literally made sure the night went exactly how it was supposed to! Highly elegant and professional. Thank you and will definitely come back! This restaurant is aesthetically pleasing. It’s absolutely gorgeous to be honest. I had the pleasure of being seated right by the fireplace during a semi cold fall night so that was a plus. The waiter and server were so nice and polite I loved the service. Now for the food. My drink was a Blueberry lemon drop, SO GOOD. For starters I had the Grilled Parmesan Herb Oysters. They were the best oysters I’ve ever had. I then ordered the lamb, mashed potatoes, and honey brussel sprouts. The brussel sprouts and mashed potatoes were YUMMY! The lamb was tough! I couldn’t even eat it. Overall, me and my family enjoyed our time and I would recommend EVERYONE to go find out for themselves.

I enjoyed my first time visit at Mama’s On the Half Shell Owings Mills location. Our server Firas was amazing. I told him it was my first time and he made recommendations. My friend doesn’t drink so we decided not to do the brunch mimosas. He offered to make a mocktail. The mocktail he made was delicious and he mentioned he made it himself. The atmosphere was great. We sat next to a fireplace which was cozy on a cold feel like Winter Sunday. The staff from when we walked into the door up to us being seated were very polite. They told me their favorite menu items. My friend needed somewhere to sit her bag and they made accommodations for her. I even watched how they assisted an elderly group of women that sat across from us. They helped her with her walker and placed it neatly behind their

Ordered takeout from Mama's on the Half Shell and was extremely disappointed. $55 Seafood Platter: My photos are close-ups, but don’t let that fool you. The shrimp were almost the same size as the salmon. The lobster tail was tiny, and when I lifted the meat off the shell, there was barely any meat there at all. This portion is absolutely not worth $55. $19 Fried Oysters: The breading had zero seasoning. Completely bland. To make matters worse, no plastic utensils or napkins were included with the takeout order. For the price point, I expected much better portion sizes, flavor, and basic takeout essentials. Not worth it.
