I am saddened to give this review as this was once a very good buffet. When you walk in you can def smell mold, and that has been present for years, but it is a old building with alot of woodwork that has probably infused the smell into it. The food is very basic in flavor and some lacking flavor. The mac and cheese is very tangy and runny. The black eyes peas, mashed potatoes, fried okra, and green beans were good. The dressing was very bland but not bad. The fried chicken was good. The carved roast beef had a weird blood sour smell so I did not attempt that. The waitresses were all very attentive and nice. We arrived prior to the restaurant opening and saw the owner who does the carving of the meats go out to his car with his black food service gloves on and return to the building with t

Incredible homestyle cooked food. I just experienced the best baked Mac n Cheese I've had in over 30 years! Wooden walls give it a unique old fashioned atmosphere and feel. Chicken was quite nice, and absolutely loved the fish on Tuesday. Victoria and Dan have done such a great job with this place. We are so happy to have this hidden gem in our little town.

All you can eat comfort southern food like a grandma would almost make it. The “clean” plates weren’t very clean so I had to choose one that looked cleaner. The waitress was great, super helpful, attentive and polite. Old stinky building that would need some serious fixings. My chair was dirty and falling apart, I had to get another one. The beef was very chewy, we could not even swallow it. A lot of fried chicken…All the veggies dishes were good. Most of the desserts come from packages, I could really tell as I bake a lot homemade desserts. Maybe the cobbler was homemade but not the rest. Overall not bad for a quick stop to fill your belly with a $20 all you can eat buffet but don’t expect gourmet food and don’t look too close for the cleanliness.

The buffet delivers and has something for everyone, even our two children ate well which is saying something. Everything we tried was very good and cooked well with care from the presentation. The staff was fantastic, so accommodating and friendly, and it was nice to see them wear their faith on their sleeve and treated us as they would want others to treat them. Thank you Mama Lou's! We will be back!

I was traveling, passing through Robertsdale with family, and was seeking somewhere to eat a good Sunday meal. Google led us here. We staked out a bit and just watched the patrons. This restaurant appeared to be popular with the locals, so we decided to try it. It was buffet style with a variety of veggies and meats to choose from. They also had peach cobbler and bread pudding for dessert selections. I made a sampler plate, so to speak... a spoonful of peas, dressing, mac-n-cheese, cream corn, and bread pudding. My son enjoyed his meal of roast beef and turnips. For me, the mac-n-cheese was the spotlight of the meal. Everything else was just ok. The one major drawback was the gnats that were resting on the cranberry sauce on the buffet. The servers were kind about it and brought fresh s
