The Makers opened in 2025 and somehow we missed it last summer so we went in December after a friend recommended it. The space is cute and intimate and decorated so cute. Our meal was good, I especially loved the sauce and desert. Excited to have a new restaurant on island. I will definitely be back again! We were able to get a table for 4 walking in and the host was so kind and accommodating. Thanks for a great visit!
I had such a great time dining here. I started with the Paloma, which came with a cinnamon sugar rim—hands down the best Paloma I’ve ever had in my entire life. For food, I ordered the Angus beef meatballs and they were incredibly flavorful. We also had to try the Bucatini pasta, which was so delicious and perfectly cooked. My husband ordered the Faroe Island salmon and loved it—super fresh and beautifully prepared. The service was excellent from start to finish, and we were even greeted by the cook, which was such a nice touch. Highly recommend The Maker to anyone visiting Martha’s Vineyard. We will definitely be back!
The Maker MV is Martha's Vineyard's newest GEM and it's SO worth stopping in. I may have, no I DID, have the best meal I've had in years on the Island at the Maker MV and we couldn't have been treated better. I have a garlic allergy and not only was the restaurant responsive to my questions ahead of time (as the smell is a factor too), when I arrived they shared a list of dishes I COULD enjoy with my family - and some, where I'd have to ask for a substitution on an ingredient. Talk about 10/10 service! We had a freshly made starter - a ficaccia bread 'starter" with olive oil - while it looked amazing, they did forewarn me that it had garlic so I had to pass. My family loved it. For dinner, I ordered the Lumache and was in lemon heaven. This freshly made pasta dish did not disappoint. T
My wife and I had a wonderful dinner at The Maker Restaurant. We arrived 15 minutes after they opened at 5pm. We brought a bottle of wine with us. The staff quickly brought us glasses and offered us a chiller. We started with the brussels sprouts as an appetizer, which were perfectly crisp and full of flavor. For the main course, we both had the tagliolini, and it was excellent fresh, pasta with a rich, well-balanced sauce. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the service was just right. We were dining outside on the picnic tables since we had our dog with us. Didn't dine inside, but it looked quant and cozy. We'll definitely be back!
My husband and I were blown away by how delicious our meal was at the Maker, which opened last month in the Little House space. My husband, who adores bolognese, said the Maker’s was best he’d had (tip - they sell it by the quart along with handmade pasta in a cooler in the cute “shop” section of the restaurant). We split an excellent Caesar (house made croutons) and 3 half portions: Lumache, Mezzaluna, and the Bucatini with bolognese. (All so good I would’ve licked the plates if there hadn’t been other customers around.) Best pasta on the Island - you can tell the chef uses fresh, high quality ingredients. Can’t wait to get back and try the other menu items! Note: they are working on their liquor license - it’s in process now. Friendly service, cute interior with pasta-themed art, and
