I’ve been hearing about Makeda’s Cookies for years thanks to Young Dolph (RIP)always posting them, so I was excited when I found out they opened a location in Atlanta. This was my first visit and it absolutely lived up to the hype. Everything I tried was delicious, but what really stood out was the customer service. It was top tier from start to finish. The staff took time to explain the history of the company, who Makeda is, and why the brand was created. Knowing it’s a Black owned business that’s been around since 1999 made the experience even more meaningful. The butter cookie is a must try. So good. I also had the strawberry icing, lemon icing, and oatmeal icing cookies, and they were all amazing. Do not skip the banana pudding. It was bussin and cussin and worth every bite. Highly

My silly self thought I was about to call Makeda’s on Abernathy Rd. on a Sunday- and then had to laugh at myself for forgetting they’re closed on Sundays 😅. That said, let me be very clear: their goodies are SO good. I purchased a chocolate chip cookie (not pictured because my daughter devoured it immediately), a homemade butter cookie, a pack of butter cookies, and a sugar cookie. I was also given a pecan pie to try and asked to share my honest opinion. The pie was amazing- packaged beautifully and tasted like how a hug feels when you really need one. Everything was soooo good. And the customer service? Top tier. It felt like visiting my favorite auntie’s house (warm, welcoming, and full of love), and like my favorite cousins were there too. Just good vibes all around. I’m genuinely mad I

Years ago I got a order online 8-8-23 from the Memphis location that Young Dolph used to be at. I got a 6 pk of cookies at the time I got 2x peanut butter and 2x chocolate chip and 2x macadamia nut cookies. This time I visited with my niece Mecca. First time at this location in Sandy Springs great parking also. Samples are available for you until you decide what you want. John Amos the father from Good Times also visited the Memphis location for Makeda's World Famous Cookies before he passed away. Iykyk if not you are going to learn today about these delicious cookies and the award winning banana pudding and the sweet potato pie and the lemon ice box pie. Everything is fresh and delicious. I got a banana pudding for my niece Mecca and me made with their world famous butter cookies not van
