My new favorite place to eat in the area! Fresh, authentic, delicious. Maia waited on us ; she was warm and gracious! Monday is burrito Monday and our vegetarian burrito was incredible. The fresh salsa and chips were great. Beautiful sunny interior is an inviting comfy place to dine! No surprise that they won the “best taco in the state” recognition! Sunny indoor area with soft music made dining there extra wonderful. Another customer who comes weekly told us that the outdoor seating is great in the warmer months. I cant wait to try it out!

Delicious! We have had the opportunity to visit Maiz twice now and we have been very satisfied both times. The service is above and beyond from the moment that you walk through the door. They are friendly, welcoming, helpful, and eager to please. The food was prepared promptly and brought right out to our picnic table. They offer a small space for eating on a bar inside or picnic tables outside. Everything we ordered was cooked to perfection and seasoned with delicious, mouth watering flavor. We hope to visit again soon.

Been meaning to try this place for a while but everytime I drive by they've been closed. I ordered the fresh fish corn floured taco & shredded chicken taco. Both were outstanding & I will definitely be returning to try other items. It was $16 for the two tacos, so its not cheap but worth it

Excellent fish tacos! I came here on a Thursday, there is a taco special (3 for $15), excluding the fish and shrimp tacos. So, I ordered 2 birria, one chicken tinga, and one fish taco. Although the beef and chicken were of decent quality and were moist (not dried out), there was a bitter edge to the sauce of both meats. A side of consommé is usually provided with birria, in this case, even if it had been provided, it would not have made a difference. The lettuce provided with the tinga was old. I was told that the fish was Rhode Island cod; it was absolutely perfect, cooked just right and there was the right amount of asadero cheese and pico. Food was delicious! Corn tortillas are homemade. We ordered shrimp taco, pulled pork taco, and a fish taco. I order fish tacos often when I go out, one of the best fish tacos I have had! We also had guacamole & chips, street corn, and a pork tamale. Everything was excellent, we left so full! I can’t say enough about the guacamole! We will spread the word and be back.
