Mai Poke - Carnes Crossroads

For incredibly delicious choose your own poke bowls, try Mai Pokémon at Carnes Crossroads Uptown. The atmosphere is unpretentious and could be more cheery but the food makes up for the 'nearly fast food' aesthetic. The servers are very helpful and pleasant, and service is quick. We'll definitely be back, even if we decide to make it a to go order. The servings are so substantial that we got two full meals out of each bowl: that's value for $$$!

We went looking for something for dinner and decided to ride up to the Carnes Crossing area. Mai Poke was wonderful. The young ladies there were very helpful. The place is fresh, clean, bright and easy to get to the restaurant. I would suggest entering and leaving on the road behind the building and parallel to 17A.

The food is okay. Its overpriced for what you order. Ive ordered plenty of Poke Bowls in the area. There are definitely places that have better taste and fresher food. You could walk in and see that the food was older than that morning (broccoli was dry and turning brown on the edges, green onions were dried out, etc.). It was clean inside and the staff was friendly. I ate the food because it was expensive and I was hungry. Honestly, I wont be going back unless if I have no other options.

This is my new go to spot. The staff was great with recommendations on what to get and everything was really good. If you haven't tried it yet, you are missing out!

The young ladies working the front were super sweet, but unfortunately my bowl had entirely too much sauce on it. It was impossible to taste anything else. I wasn't paying attention to her making the bowl as I was paying at the register, or I would have said something. I see that this has been a complaint in the past & I hope you guys address it soon. Usually people who seek out Poke restaurants do so for the freshness, this defeated the whole purpose. :(
