Customer Reviews
Highly recommend this little gem of a restaurant. The food is very good and the employees are very friendly. It is located in a very depressed safe downtown neighborhood. If you’re traveling to the beach and you want to have a great meal spend a little time and look this place up.
Found this little gem as we were passing through the area, glad we stopped for lunch! One kiddo got the grilled chicken sandwich and loved it. I ordered the fried green tomato BLT and it was so good! Each of my kids chose a slice of cake, they said the salted Carmel was good but the chocolate layered cake was their favorite! Our server was so kind, quick and attentive. Zero complaints, would stop here again!
A Hidden Gem with Small-Town Charm If you're looking for that warm, welcoming feel of a classic small-town diner, this place nails it. From the moment you walk in, the cozy atmosphere makes you feel right at home. The food is absolutely delicious. Whether you're in the mood for a hearty breakfast, a juicy burger, or a slice of homemade cake, you really can’t go wrong. It’s comfort food at its finest. Friendly service, a relaxed vibe, and mouthwatering meals make this diner a must-visit. It’s the kind of place you’ll want to come back to again and again.
I grew up in Bennettsville , but been living in Las Vegas since 1991. I visit the Carolinas about every 2 to 3 years now to see family and friends. I remember when this used to be the Sanitary Cafe and Harry ran the place. He had a small display case with some of his old military stuff in it from when he was in World War 2. I was happy to see the stainless steel wall cover still there behind the counter. I met a friend of mine for lunch on my way to Myrtle Beach. We've been friends since 3rd Grade ! I had the Country Ham Plate with Mac-n-Cheese , Mashed Potatoes and Gravy , Roll , and Sweet Tea. He had the Patty Melt with Fries. I love getting Country Ham when I come home to visit because we can't get it in Las Vegas. It was good , but I have to say the portion was a little small
Came for lunch and stayed for dessert. Cool downtown diner feel with friendly countertop service. I've never had deviled egg pasta salad but it was good, the chips were killer, and went well with the pimento cheese. Fresh Baked cakes with new daily flavors the flagship cake is 15 layers, and it's darn good.
