Maepole

I work across the street and have been eating here for about 2 years. They never great me with a smile and the guy working in the back today was lurking at me. They always greet the pale color people though so this will ve my last meal. EVERYYONE from anywhere should be greeted and welcomed in no matter what shade they are!

We really enjoyed a late lunch date at Maepole. We ate around 1:30-2pm and there was plenty of seating. We’re in the middle of a heat advisory, but the patio is shaded and has fans and so we had a lovely time eating outside. Dish 1: Sweet potato, Mac n’ cheese, broccoli and beef Dish 2: Brown rice, Mac n’ cheese, green beans and chicken Favorite elements - sweet potato, beef, Mac n’ cheese The brown rice was a little bland, but that’s probably for the best once you add the sauce! I prefer my vegetables to be cooked a little longer, but my husband said the broccoli was perfect for dipping in Ranch. Will we be back? Absolutely! And probably with a dog - love the patio atmosphere.

The kale salad was great, and they have a fun soda/drink selection! Good sauces. The mac n cheese was not my fav, noodles taste healthy lol

After hearing so many good things, i was excited to try Maepole. I heard the mac n cheese and buttermilk ranch were worth it. The mac n cheese is different- it's not so cheesy but has a nutty undertone and is perfectly seasoned. The vegetarian fritters were okay but something was lacking from the whole bowl. The interior looks weird but atleast it's not too crowded.

I was pleasantly surprised at how amazing the food was!! We went here to have a quick lunch and it was the perfect choice with a blend of meat eaters and vegans in our group. The food and the sugarcane sodas were SO good. I finished my entire bowl. I will definitely come back the next time I’m in Athens!
