Madrid European Bakery and Patisserie

When we lived in Providence we loved Madrid on the east side, so we were excited when they opened up in Barrington. But today we had an exceptional visit when we mistakingly arrived with our two toddlers about 30 minutes before they opened. The owner and staff didn't hesitate to open the door and let us come in, even though they were still preparing for the day. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The pastries are fresh and delicious and our coffee was wonderful too. Love Madrid!

Very clean very nice! Wonderfun atmosphere. I was pleasantly surprised when we walked in. There is a handicap ramp, but unfortunately there are stairs to get to the register. The pastry are delicious! I would absolutely return in a heartbeat. I did not try any coffee but this spot would be excellent for a date! Can’t wait to return.

I live in nyc and visit my parents in RI frequently. The pastries at Madrid are some of the most delicious I have ever had; I love how much flavor is in each tiny pastry. It’s also so wonderful to be able to enjoy just a tiny bite.

Ever since I spotted Madrid on my way to work, I can’t stop going back. The mocha, croissants, and mini pastries are hands-down the best quality I’ve had from any local bakery or café — it truly brings me back to Europe. The space is beautiful and spotless, and the staff is always so welcoming and friendly ❤️

I am a frequent customer of Madrid in Wayland Square and was excited to learn this location existed. the interior is a bit smaller than Prov but the place is spotless and inviting and the staff is great. The pastries look as you would expect from Madrid, straight out of a magazine 😍 I tried the raspberry croissant for the first time and just fell in love. The coffee eclair was good but not my personal favorite as it was full of strong coffee flavor which was a little overwhelming with the perfectly made cappuccino we also ordered. That aside everything was lovely. I adore the cream puffs and the strawberry tarts (not sure what they are called). Madrid is a reliable, beautiful, and delicious staple in Rhode Island and I always look forward to coming here!
