Since the fire and close of Hong Garden I’ve been really wanting a Cantonese go to spot to get some good authentic Chinese food. First off they’ve got dim sum without the drive to the city! Winning. Love that they have the roasted duck n wonton noodles plus other noodle soups that you’d find in Chinatown. Additionally they also have ginger scallion chicken! Yum 🫠 So I ordered some takeaway to take home for dinner and subsequently lunch the next day. Blown away by the Hong Kong style wontons … if you’ve never had them try ‘em you’ll never want the ones with the thick wrappers again. Ordered them with the roasted duck noodles as well as the aforementioned chicken. Also got some braised beef while that was not my favorite given it was more of the glutinous tendon n the not so edible skin
This place is special to me because we have a semi-new family tradition to eat Peking duck on my birthday. So for the past few years we’ve been getting our duck from here! The skin is always crispy, and the meat is tender. One of the best Peking duck I’ve had! Please never change your recipe! Only thing I’d change is that I don’t like the thick buns. I guess it’s to make “sandwiches”, but it’s not classic for Peking duck. The thinner “crepe-like” rolls are better.
Don’t waste your time or money on this place. I ordered General Tso’s Tofu and my husband got Chengdu Spicy Chicken. It’s honestly hard to say which dish was worse. The sauce in the tofu dish was gelatinous and tasted like vinegar. The breading on the tofu fell off as I attempted to eat it. The chicken was slimy, fatty and not battered as described. It also was not white meat as the menu indicated. Both dishes were too disgusting to eat. We will never go back nor recommend it.
Great place and friendly staff! The food was very good, and the menu is huge! Lots of options, and everything is great. I ordered mainly from the dim sum menu. The chicken feet was interesting and good. And we got one of the dumplings, and they were great. Overall, very good food and I think they're more authentic in general.
Best dim sum in Philly area (nowhere in center city compares to M&M)! I have loved every dish I’ve ordered here, and the service is always friendly. Highly recommend. 谢谢,很好吃😋
