Super chill, the carnitas were insane. Pork was melt in your mouth. The portion was generous and everything was delicious. So happy we decided on this place!

This restaurant is 5 stars for the food and drinks. Use Google maps to find it then look for the light up beer signs in the windows because they don't event have a sign out front! They don't need a sign. It is obvious the locals know it is the place to be. The prices are extremely reasonable and our server was great. The shredded beef chimichanga was so big I had no room to eat my rice and beans. I waited a few minutes before added the flan dessert. It is a must. Margaritas was awesome and this frozen drink I have now is good too. I have no idea what it's called, but I saw someone else had one, so I asked for the same drink. Just show your server the pic if you want to try it. It's Monday and almost packed in here. No wonder they don't have a sign out front. They don't need one.

Grew up in Puna and grew up eating at this restaurant back in the 80s. Loved it then, love it now. It was great to be back visiting my family and being able to take them here for lunch. We had a great time, had great service and the food was absolutely as delicious as I remember it. They were also very accommodating for my special needs children. I hope they remain for a long time to come and for my next visit. I’ll always make time to eat there when visiting the big island.

This place is amazing! Got their fish burrito deluxe which was one of the best burritos I've ever had! Also tried the key lime pie (yes, they have it here for all my fellow key lime pie fans 🤤), and it was the second best I've ever had, just shy of Terry's key lime pie in Florida (yes, this pie served here is home made and beats other pies from key West). Deidra, our waitress, was extremely friendly. Next time I am back at the big isle, I will definitely be back and I highly recommend coming here!

Very average Mexican place. Only had to wait a minute to get seated for dinner on a Monday. Service was friendly and speed of getting food was OK. Flavors and presentation were OK. Regarding the huge portions mentioned in other reviews, for us it depended on what we ordered. Nachos were huge, but chili verde and quesadilla were reasonable size for one, and smaller than what we usually see on the mainland. Prices were as expected for Hawaii.
