Lumber Mill Bar & Grill

We ordered the fried pickles to start and sumbish, they were delicious. Wife ordered the Bacon baby blue burger with fried zucchini and she loved it, I tasted it and it was awesome. I ordered Rib eye steak and it was cooked perfectly and had great flavor. We left very satisfied and very full. Our compliments to the chef! 100% loved it.

I've been to Idllwyld several times but had never stopped at the Lumber Mill before. I didn't know what I was missing! I had a pastrami sandwich and it was fantastic! It only took a couple minutes to arrive after I had ordered it. The service is very good although there isn't a lot of seating (probably 7 or 8 tables plus 6 or 7 stools at the bar) the atmosphere is comfortable with the way you would expect a mountain town diner to look and feel.

We had a great chili in a very good sourdough bowl and a solid burger and coleslaw. The staff were super friendly and quick. It was fun to watch the karaoke on Saturday night.

First time visiting Idyllwild! We just checked into our place and explored the cute town, but most of the restaurants were closed. The only one open was The Lumber Mill Bar & Grill. It was busy, so we patiently waited for a table. They have both indoor and outdoor seating and a great selection of meals to try! We ordered the ribeye steak with Caesar salad and mashed potatoes, plus a crumbled cheese appetizer, it was worth it! Since our place doesn’t have a refrigerator or microwave, we had to finish everything. It turned into a romantic outdoor dinner with delicious food and such friendly staff. Definitely worth it for a good dinner in Idyllwild.
