Lucky Dog Gelato in San Clemente is a great local spot if you’re looking for something authentic. It’s owned by a local couple, and the quality is noticeably higher than your average ice cream shop because the owner actually trained in Italy. Cute little spot that had a great selection and variety of flavors! Coming in, the ladies were super sweet and welcomed for my dog to come in. They're very dog-friendly and even have a pup gelato for them that comes with a treat. My dog absolutely LOVED that! The flavors we got were really good. Not sure if it's because I'm not from this area that's normally higher cost of living, but I did feel like the prices were fairly steep. But again, could just be because of location and the demographic (and the market).

Yup... my review remains solid! Lucky Dog is so good! 🤗 The Gelato is amazing. The owners are super cool. The place is in a great spot to walk to, near so much, easy to get to (almost too easy) I'm loving my visits and working my way through all the flavors (which might prove difficult as they keep coming up with new ones!) You gotta try this wonderful place. So glad to have them in the neighborhood... and oh look... time to go try another flavor! See you there!

Went for the first time. Sensational gelato. Clean place with lovely branding. We came late on a week night and they stayed true to their posted hours. Will be our go to spot while in San Clemente.

They source ingredients from the local area so you only get what is in season assuring that freshness. Nothing less then, yummy goodness!! Sadly, I don't live near by, but if I'm anywhere near here I'm making time to stop and enjoy!😋😋
