Luciano's Ristorante & Lounge

Always love coming back to Luciano's in Rahway. Usually, we go for a special occasion, but this time just a date night with my husband. We had 2 apps, coconut shrimp special, and old fav, calamari. Shared a Caesar salad, that they were nice enough to split. I ordered the scallops with spinach and risotto-delicious. My husband had the rib-eye. Very good.

You walk in and the place looks great—very well taken care of, nicely decorated. Unfortunately, that’s about the only positive thing I can say about my experience. We came on Valentine’s Day for an early 6 PM dinner and were seated right away, which we appreciated. Then we sat for about 20 minutes before anyone even came by to take a drink order. When the waiter finally showed up, we just ordered everything at once to save time. We sat down at 6. Our appetizer didn’t arrive until 6:45. Then our entrées didn’t come out until 7:35. My wife ordered the surf and turf—filet mignon (medium) and a lobster tail. The filet was burnt to a crisp, and the lobster tail was so dry and flavorless it was honestly shocking. I want to sincerely thank this restaurant for the incredible job they did for my daughter’s baby shower 01/24/26. From the very beginning, the manager Christine and the ENTIRE STAFF were extremely attentive, professional, and kind, taking care of every detail to make sure everything was perfect. The welcoming and beautiful atmosphere of the place made all of us feel like family, creating a space full of love and joy for such a special moment. The attention, the service, the excellent food and dedication they showed truly exceeded our expectations. Without a doubt, it was a wonderful experience, and I highly recommend them for any special celebration. Thank you so much for making this day unforgettable! 💖✨

Went there for dinner Sunday night. It wasn’t crowded. The service was good and the staff were friendly. It’s a traditional looking restaurant. Three of us split a salad, which was delicious and the portion was just right. We had Mediterranean pasta, pork chops, and simple chicken parmigiana. My friend said it was one of the best chicken parm he ever had and he’s a picky eater. My pork chops were wonderful and the chef made the Mediterranean pasta with marinara sauce for my husband who enjoyed it.

Really yummy Italian food. Great sized portions and very fast service. Would definitely come again. Perfect for a birthday or anniversary dinner!
