Luca Italian Restaurant

Luca's was fantastic. We had a group of about 25, we're seated in the "banquet room," and our waitress was SUPER! She was efficient, attentive (but not overbearing) and very professional. I know serving a group that large can be challenging, but she handled everything with care and precision. Many of us were wondering how she kept our orders straight!

A little noisy on a Sunday afternoon, as to be expected. Food came out quickly, server wasn't all that friendly, but did her job. My mom got a gluten free pizza, it came with a little crumbled up straw wrapper on the tray. Gross. My dad and I both got pasta, salad came after about 10 minutes of waiting and the pasta came maybe 5 minutes later? Overall not bad food for the price I suppose.

I try to stay loyal to local. But local has to also stay loyal to their customers. I ordered in good faith, picked up my whole Italian sub order and went home. The sub was barely cut in two, had what almost looked like a whole head of shredded lettuce and gobs of mayo. The meat as you can see was 3 VERY thin, no larger than a credit card each of ham and whatever the other 2 pieces were. Things are expensive now and I even stood by them when they raised their prices. But the 3 thin strips looked was like one slice of ham cut down the middle and shared with the other half of the sub. The bread was hard and over toasted. Ironically my daughter went to Waves in Hopewell and her sub, same price was hearty, neatly made and not trying to hide a strip of meat under tons of lettuce. Food was good. First time trying the Luca’s way Schiacciata. If you don’t like a lot of sauce on your pizza this is what you should order instead. Drinks were great. I had the Rum runner. Pours were generous on our wines. Our server Alex was attentive. It got really busy and packed for a weeknight. Took a while for our food to come out. Overall better than Rosas in Hopewell. I would come back. Pumpkin Cheesecake was sourced by Crumbs. Crumbs cheesecakes are the best.

Luca Italian Restaurant is absolutely amazing! The food is authentic, fresh, and full of flavor — you can really taste the quality in every dish. The staff is attentive and friendly, and the atmosphere is warm and inviting, perfect for date night or dinner with family and friends. From the appetizers to dessert, everything was perfection. Easily one of the best Italian restaurants around — highly recommend! 🍝🍷
