Lovebirds Donuts

No WONDER they are the top ten donuts of the world! With a sense of humor (check the bathroom sign photo). Service was amazing. The pumpkin spice latte was a hit. I even got my dog an old fashioned and he approved! Thank you Lovebirds! I drove 3 hours for these and you did not disappoint! (I was originally going to go to the NH location, but put in the wrong directions haha! The facebook staff at Portsmouth was amazing also and confirmed their open hours, afterwards mentioning they were delighted to serve us.) One of my favorite new spots now! 😍 ❤️

We live 45 minutes away, in Portland--- an hour and a half if we're taking the scenic route. Portland has some fantastic options for vegan donuts and other sweets, but I'm literally always going to prefer Lovebirds. I was not a "donut person" until I had these. And I wasn't even vegan then! A few years later, they're frequently the culinary high point of my month. I tell everyone I've ever met about this place. Plus the coffee and teas they come up with are thoughtful, creative, and delicious!

A review in the words of my kids: 5 year old: my favorite places on earth are the aquarium and this donut store 3 year old: there’s a yummy crumby in my tummy! We come here a couple times a month even though it’s a bit of a drive from where we live. The donuts and coffee are great and best of all for us is that it’s nut free. We also visit the Portsmouth location in the warmer months when it’s nice to sit outside.

Lovebirds has been on my bucket list for awhile after hearing they make some of the BEST vegan donuts! 🌈 Well… I finally visited & it was worth allll the hype! Super adorable storefront making some of the most creative, delicious & amazing vegan donuts I’ve ever come across! We shared a 6 pack & every flavor was amazing! All of their donuts are made fresh daily & it shows. Loved all their variety to pick from. The strawberry creme was simply the BEST vegan donut I’ve had in my entire life. The donut itself was amazing but the vegan cream was just perfect! Runner up was the birthday cake- super dense, moist cake texture with the perfect flavor. I first went to Lovebirds on Mother's Day 2019, they were giving grapefruit donuts to moms! Since then, I've had an innumerable amount of donuts. They. Have. Brought. Joy. Lovebirds has become the main way my partner and I celebrate any occasion including a regular Saturday. I typically go for the classics, though the menu changing monthly is so fun. One of the things we like most about this business is how well they treat their staff, the low turnover rate throughout the years is noticed, and we feel good supporting a business that aligns with our values of kindness and yummy food
