Loutit District Library

My son and I were in town from Canada to get dental work done for our dog. He also had a video job interview that he couldn't reschedule and needed to find a quiet place with internet access. We were very fortunate to find Loutit Library. Not only did he get a study room with excellent internet access, it turned out to be free with no ID needed. While he was doing that I walked around and enjoyed the shear beauty of a very well maintained, good old fashioned library with real books and magazines. I thank you for your hospitality and.sharing such a magnificent building with strangers.

I really like this library. They have top notch reading and music programs for children, where they use all sorts of wonderful props to stimulate learning and development. They work hard to offer a wide selection of material and free programs with topics of diverse interest to serve the families in our community. Besides the abundant choice of children’s reading programs, concert series, computer workshops, discussions, authors, citizenship ceremonies and variety of activities, they bring in The Pirates for a week of festivity during the summer. It is always kept clean and anytime I’ve needed assistance, the staff is very knowledgeable, helpful and courteous. Renewing items online is easy. I’ve also called to renew items. The only setback I’ve ever had is in printing my manuscripts and poe
