I cannot believe we waited 2 years to eat here. We tried all of the other Mexican food restaurants around. But for us, this place was perfect. The booths gave you privacy, it was nice ambiance, high ceilings, good decor. They had fast service, excellent food (I got the shrimp tacos, hubby got nachos) it was just a very authentic, enjoyable experience. Made me feel like we were back home in Texas. Upscale dining, excellent service, and exquisite food! I'm so glad we finally went. The other places dont compare in attentiveness, service, and food quality!

We celebrated my nephew's birthday here. We really enjoyed the food, really big servings. We would definitely recommend this restaurant.

10 out of 10 if possible….EVERYTHING was on point…highly recommended and definitely will be a repeat customer

“Only after I had finished a pitcher of margaritas” Good dining in Ponca City just doesn’t exist, anymore. On Sundays it looks like every restaurant (non- corporate chain) that is open, is a buffet for the all you can eat diners. And, the three or four of them that are open are packed. Los Portales is no different, the parking lot was full. I didn’t realize they offered a buffet until we walked in. However, you can order from the menu. That’s what we did, and after seeing the buffet, I am sure our dining experience would have been much worse had we tried the buffet. Even though we ordered off the menu the buffet deserves a description for those that may be interested. It is essentially a taco bar with a few other items. Great food and atmosphere thought I was in San Antonio on the River Walk. The staff was wonderful and I would highly recommend if you're in the area to stop by a give a try. The chicken fajitas are smoky tasting full of flavor and don't forget the guacamole.
