The food is great but the service was not as expected from the whole staff. Most of the staff were nice, but one of the employees rolled her eyes at me when asking for a fork that had not been delivered with the meal. During the entire ordering process the drinks were not delivered, the salsa and chips were not delivered so my husband went up to request these each time. The waitresses apologized for the mishap each time. Once the food was delivered it didn't come with cutlery so instead of my husband going up to ask for the 3rd time I went. Now, I am painfully aware of my race's reputation therefore I overcompensate by being unwaveringly polite. I asked our watress first in Spanish but forgot the word for fork so I repeated in English. What a great surprise! The restaurant is finally open! I had been driving by for months, hoping to see an opening date, but honestly… I had started to lose optimism. Today I asked my daughter to drive by, not really expecting anything, but to my surprise — they were open!! From a distance I could see the OPEN flags flying, and that alone made my day. Why was I this excited? Because I was never able to catch their taco truck when it was open due to the limited schedule, and I had been waiting for this place to open so I could finally try their famous machetes.
