Los Dos Potrillos

Los Potrillos has been part of Great Bend for 17 years, and there’s a reason it’s still here. The food is tasty, portions are generous, and the staff is always warm and welcoming. The menu is Mexican food tailored to the local community, so if you’re expecting super traditional regional dishes like you’d find in Mexico City or along the border, that’s not exactly what this is — and that’s okay. It’s a family-run restaurant that offers flavorful, comforting plates that work for a wide range of tastes, from fajitas and enchiladas to tacos and burritos. I’ve seen a few reviews complaining that it’s not “authentic enough,” but for me, Los Potrillos is about good food, friendly service, and a place where families and friends have been gathering for years and feel at home.

We went hoping to find Mexican food 🤣. Definitely not Mexican food. Food was okay but we did have to wait forever to receive it. (I honestly thought they had forgotten about us). And tacos were not Mexican street tacos they were made with a flour tortilla and ground beef with lettuce and cheese on the side 🤔🤦‍♀️. I asked for a discount because my boo literally didn't touch his food. I didn't ask for it for free just a discount and the lady "grandma" got all disrespectful and rude. Will not be by there again

Nachos didn’t even have liquid cheese, just globs of yellow cheese. The burrito had no flavor. the guac is just avocado with nothing added to it. The chille rellano was not a chile rellano. The salsa tastes like marinara. Even the rice was so bland I couldn’t eat it. Really disappointed considering it had good reviews on here.

Great service, prices very reasonable. Food is delicious and the portions are huge! The atmosphere is unique and to say interesting is an understatement...there is SO MUCH to see, from personal drawings and photos to a beautiful carousel and too much more to catch your eye. We've been here twice (so far) and both times were outstanding. Will make this restaurant a regular stop! You won't be disappointed!
