Los Chavalos Mexican Restaurant

#34 Carnitas plate is yummy with crispy bits of pork and large chunks of tomatoes and onions and delicious warm pico de gallo with a nice spice. We also really enjoyed the rejenos. They were crepe like, delicate and delectable with more eggs than flour. Friendly, quick service in a quaint environment with lots of local character.

This restaurant is so good. It’s Mexican food, but they also have a few American options as well. We came with our family of six, and everyone enjoyed their meal. Everything was made from scratch. The guacamole and white queso were really good. We tried a little of everything—cheese enchiladas, chicken enchiladas, carne asada street tacos, hot wings, and even the cheeseburger—and it was all delicious and great quality. The staff was very nice, and the place is warm and cozy, with a fireplace in the entrance. It has a great atmosphere and high-quality food. We will definitely be back.

I'll start out by mentioning how impressed I was with the cleanliness of this very nice restaurant. It's a large venue, several different seating areas. Our service was very good, complimentary chips and salsa (with a little heat) were immediately brought out. Our orders were promptly taken by the very polite and pleasant server. The food was brought out very timely as well. I ordered the Mexican carne (steak pieces cooked with jalapeños, just hot enough to call it medium),an excellent choice, also a tamale a la carte which was very good as well. Our food had lots of flavor, well prepared, generous portions at a reasonable price. I will definitely recommend this restaurant, we plan to be back. We wouldn't order the chile relleno next time.

Deliciouso!! We went to the other Mexican place and they did not allow dogs on the patio. We called Los Chavalos and they were lovely and welcoming on the phone. The food was excellent - service, excellent! Our waiter said I know this is a Mexican place, but our burgers are really great– my husband took his recommendation and loved it. The inside ambience was great - The patio looks new - maybe some music would be nice out there. We will return!

Very unique atmosphere! Portion sizes were large and prices were consistent with other restaurants in the area. Thanks for leaving us full and happy after a long day of skiing!
