Los Cabritos Mexican Restaurant (Skippack)

Let me start out by saying that I really want to see this place succeed. As a resident of Skippack this location has had high turnover and it would be great to see something succeed. Skippack already has two other Mexican restaurants in town so this place will really have to stand out to succeed. The food was overall good. The mole sauce was delicious and I was very happy with my burrito. The fajitas were fairly bland and didn't have much seasoning. I was disappointed that you have to pay for chips and salsa l, as almost every other Mexican restaurant seems to give those to each table complimentary. That said, the prices are reasonable and the guacamole we ordered was quite good. The menu is a little bit disorganized and doesn't offer as many choices as the other local restaurants do but

Great food! Love the homemade chips, margaritas, eating on the patio, so nice and they have a surprising amount of parking(hard to find and skip back!) their breakfast are really good as well. Great food at reasonable prices.

Great new spot in Skippack village! Fabulous food and very reasonable prices. The staff is really welcoming, attentive and gave great recommendations. It has a nice family atmosphere. You can tell they put their heart and soul into this establishment. We ordered the chips and guacamole to start. Guacamole was hearty and flavorful. For dinner we tried Savana de Pollo, Chicken Fajitas, Steak Enchiladas and Mole Pablano. All four of us cleaned our plates! So good, home style cooking. BYOB and free Margaritas!

I was disappointed with my experience. I ordered a steak burrito but was served chicken instead, despite the staff confirming that our order included both a chicken and a steak burrito. The chicken burrito itself was very bland and lacked seasoning. I also noticed several other diners leaving their plates unfinished or requesting extra sauces just to add some flavor. On top of that, the staff placed a hot plate of food directly in front of an infant at our table, which was concerning from a safety standpoint. Definitely room for improvement both in the kitchen and in service awareness.

Great option for Mexican food. I just tried it for the first time. The food was delicious. Service was pretty good but it seems they are still learning the ropes. Regardless, our food came out hot and in a reasonable amount of time. The other thing that was reasonable? Their prices. Example: Chicken Fajitas were $14 and contained a full portion size. The fajitas were great, although I'd prefer it if they came with a little bit of shredded cheese. The building looks a bit tired, but that's the landlord's fault. Atmosphere is just OK. Yes, you do have to pay for chips & salsa ($6), but given the other prices for their entrees, it is understandable. I definitely will be back and will also be recommending it to others. I hope Los Cabritos survives in Skippack long-term.
