Los Agaves

Stopped in for lunch at Los Agaves. The food was fine—pretty average overall. Nothing stood out as bad, but nothing really wowed me either. Service was friendly and the atmosphere was nice for a casual lunch spot. Solid option if you’re looking for a quick Mexican meal, but I wouldn’t say it was memorable.

The queso dip is excellent. The salsa fresh is most certainly "Indiana Mexican," which is a far cry from "Texas Mexican," but waaaay better than "South Dakota or Minnesota Mexican--- so it's super safe for kids mouths." I'd prefer more heat, not Hot, just more 'warm flavor. The chips are fine, but I think the portions could be a little bigger to finish either sauce; the ratio there is a little off. If I order again, it will be for my children. I'll stick with the main dishes. :)

Had a great first experience at Los Agaves! The food and the ambience is amazing, our waiter Jesús was a wonderful host and gave us a good tour of the menu. The Ribeye Tacos and the Tacos Pastor are a must try's for sure. We look forward to coming back!

I will say all of the staff are incredibly nice and their adult beverages are good but the food is very under seasoned and over priced for what you get. I definitely wouldn't consider it authentic Mexican food or recommend it to family or friends. They also used white rice for their chicken and rice dish.

Very enjoyable dinner experience at Los Agaves, topped off with a generous serving of Margarita. Our server, Raine, was "right on" in his timing and dinner support. Our meals came surprisingly quickly, probably less than 10 minutes after we ordered. I had the burrito with a perfect array of Mexican side dishes. Looking forward to a return visit on one of our next trips to Indy.
