Real seafood should be sourced from real sea-places, like, you know, oceans. So that's exactly where we source our wild-caught Alaska pollock, wild-caught Alaska salmon, and wild-caught north Pacific cod. We’re no one trick sea pony.

After seeing a review on YouTube that recommended this place as having the best chicken tenders I had to check it out for myself. I ordered 1 fish and 1 tender with waffle fries, 2 hush puppies, and a drink for $11. My daughter had 4 shrimps and 1 fish with the same sides. The fish was moist & crunchy. The fries were hot & crunchy and I loved the hush puppies. The tenders were moist and tender but did not resemble conventional tender, they had the same batter as the fish and even resemble them in taste. If you’re looking for conventional tenders theses won’t do. My daughter said that after the 3rd shrimp she was done with the batter. It’s a bit much and it’s all deep fried so you’d better have the cholesterol meds on standby. All in all enjoyable, but certainly not the healthiest
The service is fine, we had a very helpful counter person. I got a chicken chalupa supreme, and a senior drink. The chalupa was okay but the shell was dried out. My wife got the Long John's fish and chicken with waffle fries. I tried a bite of the fish and a few fries. The fish was cooked well with that lightly crunch of the batter I love. The fries were thick and cooked just right. I added a light bit of salt and they tested great.
The batter is the key. It’s actually crispy and snaps when you bite it, not that soggy carpet some places wrap around a piece of fish. The fish flakes, nothing’s greasy, and it eats the way fried fish is supposed to. Portions are still solid, especially with inflation doing what it’s doing. You don’t feel shorted. The L8 is a safe bet every time. I’ve been three times now and the staff has been friendly and on it every time. That alone puts them ahead of a lot of local spots that cost more and try less. No nostalgia goggles here. On execution alone, Long John Silver’s is ahead of most places you can get fried fish.
I've been to this location a few times and have always liked the food. However, it's been a while so I didn't know they had switched to waffle fries. I usually like this cut of fries in general, but the fries here were flavorless, overcooked, and too crispy. I usually get the fish. Today, the fish portions looked smaller than the last time I was here. Also, the batter was dark. It tasted like the fish was either overcooked or the oil needed to be changed. I hope my next visit will be better. Otherwise, I can't justify eating here if this quality is the same or worse.
Had fish and shrimp platter. The fish had a wired smell and a horrible taste. This wont be a repeat.
